Summer 2009 Dance Workshops

Cheerleading    Musical Theater    Hip/Hop    Tiny Toes

Summer dance workshops are a good time to try new dance types. All classes are conducted at the Los Altos Studio. These classes allow students to work at their own pace, and students of different ages sometimes are placed in the same class. All classes meet once a day for five days and will have a performance during the last half hour of the last class. Five Year old Tiny/Toes can take a Hip/Hop or Cheerleading class during the summer instead of a Tiny/Toes Class. If there is a question, please give Marti a call.

Fees

Students may pre-pay for all sessions with this form, or attend class on a drop-in basis if space is available. Drop-in students must pay the drop-in fee before the class begins that day. Workshop fees are refundable if cancelled before June 15. Teaching staff will be indicated on your confirmation notice.  Lynn’s classes please fill out registration form and pay for the classes your daughter will be attending.

Jazz and Lyrical Students (Experienced dancers only)

All students 7th grade and up may try Lynn’s classes for the summer for possible placement in her classes in the fall. All of Lynn students must attend some summer classes to maintain their technique in preparation for fall classes. All students who cannot attend any of Lynn’s classes must be excused by Marti.

Hip/Hop Competition Teams

Summer: All students planning to audition for the teams in September must take at least one week of summer Hip/Hop classes to audition for the teams. Clary will be teaching the evening Hip/Hop classes

Fall: Auditions for the Junior and Senior teams will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009

Please register early. Workshops fill up quickly.

CLASS INFORMATION

Musical Classes

The classes will consist of singing, acting, improvisation, and learning how to audition for a show. Musical Theater Classes are offered for beginners and advanced students. Musical Theater Classes will be taught by Kim. There will be a performance by the students on the last Friday.

Hip/Hop

The Jr. Team is for 6, 7, 8 graders and the senior team is for 9, 10, 11, 12 graders

The competition classes are for experienced Hip/Hop dancers and for students who would like to audition for our Hip/Hop competition Teams in the fall.

Tiny/Toes

These classes are for students three to four years of age. For new Tiny/Toes students who will join us in September these classes introduce the students to our program and teachers.

Cheerleading

Cheerleading classes are fun for the students. The students learn dance, cheers, and how to work together in these activities. Many students like to take these classes to try something different then Hip/Hop
